Sunday 8th October is Gift Sunday at The Well

The great news behind this is that we’ll be moving to the Christ the Servant building in Abbey Meads. This has been made possible by the Diocese of Bristol, who are purchasing the building for us and will then lease it to us. We hope to get the keys long before the end of the year.

Our vision as a church is to worship Jesus and build community in North Swindon and this building is going to turbo-charge our activity in both of these twin aims - more worship and more community building. We will also have the honour of hosting existing users of the building such as the Brownies, the Shine post-natal depression support group and the Swindon Food Collective.

The building is only 20 years old, and has been well loved and looked after, however there is work to do to make it light and welcoming for the next generation and to make more space for our youth and children’s work.

The overall cost of the work is around £65,000, which will include:

• Full redecoration

• New carpets

• Lighting, electrical, networking and PA work

• New chairs

• Taking walls down to open up a new meeting space for children

• Adding a new outdoor room for youth and prayer
